College Thursdays

College Students Save On Skiing and Riding Every Thursday, college students receive discounts on their day and PM lift ticket. This weekly event will feature drink specials, live entertainment, and fun in the snow at Ohio's Largest Ski Area. 

 

 

Snow AngelsThe Snow Angels

Every Sunday Through March 11, 2012 The Snow Angels is an all women ski and ride program designed to help build confidence and skills while meeting new people and having a great time on the slopes. Special "Women's Specific" topics will be included adding to your skiing/riding enjoyment. This is a weekly program for women 18 and up is open to all ability levels. Meets every Sunday from 12p-3p.

NEW DATE MARCH 3-4 We have rescheduled the camp! The park is fully developed with features for all abilities. Solidify your freestyle progression this season with our annual Get Schooled Freestyle Camp. Get Schooled in all aspects of freestlye riding by the regions top freestyle ski and snowboard coaches.

March 4, 2012 Each Season the Mad River Race Team honors individuals who have played an important role in the history of our ski area with this annual commemorative race. Join us as we thank these individuals and mark this mile stone in Ohio Ski Racing History.

The Blitz
March 10, 2012 BRAND NEW EVENT!!  THE MAD CARBOARD CLASSIC SLED RACE! This new event is similar to the Red Bull Sled race of previous seasons.  There will be numerous categories for sleds built strictly out of cardboard, paint, zip ties, and duct tape.  Event to be held at our tubing hill or on Regulator. Listen to 99.7 for special event sled promotions. Stay tuned for more information!

Our Junior Race Camp is the best way for skiers and riders under the age of 18 to start the race season. Mad River's dedicated coaches will ensure your childs season will get a quick start out of the gate.

Ohio Dreams Big Air Training Camp

January 6, 2012 In addition to sponsoring the events Ohio Dreams will be hosting Big Air
Camps on the Friday evening before each contest, this is a perfect time
to work with Ohio Dreams Head Ski Coach and Dew Tour Coach Chris
Ashcraft. Chris was the on-hill coach for Nick Goepper at the 2011
Killington Winter Dew Tour where Nick took a third.

- 6:00pm – 6:30pm Check in / Registration in the Main Lodge (must have lift ticket) $20 entry fee.
Cash or check please (ATM available right at registration site)

- 6:30pm – 7:00pm Meet and warm up

- 7:00pm – 9:00pm On Hill Instruction

Demo Day, Big Air & 60's Session in The LoftBig Air

January 7, 2012 All Day Test out the latest ski and snowboard equipment from the Aspen Ski and Snowboard Co and your favorite ski and snowboard brands at Demo Day 1. In the evening, we will host our first Big Air Event of the season followed by live entertainment. Inside check out first decade weekend event celebrating the era when Mad River Mountain was born.

US AIRBAG TOUR!

Events - February 2012

February 3-5, 2012 Check out the latest in training and fun. Skiers and riders can jump off of one of our big air jumps into a huge inflatable bag! Perfect for those looking to learn new tricks and others looking just not to hurt themselves! The US Airbag Tour is hitting up numerous stops across the country but this is the only stop in the Midwest. Participants will need to fill out a waiver and pay a small fee per jump or one price for the entire day.

 

12 years of age and older only. Participants are strongly suggested to wear a helmet.

Hours of Operation:

Thursday - 7pm - 9pm
Friday 5pm - 12am
Saturday 12pm - 12am
Sunday 12pm - 8pm

Prices:
$5 for 2 Jumps
$10 for 5 Jumps
$25 for 15 Jumps

February 11, 2012 Join Ohio's best rock station for a day on the slopes. Tube with Archie and the crew from QFM 96 from 6pm-8pm at the Avalanche Tubing Park. Afterwards, hitch a ride over in the QFM Van to the Loft to see The Dan Orr Project.

February 12, 2012 The Snow Angels present Pretty in Pink, our signature, for-charity event benefiting breast cancer research. The event is open to male and female skiers and riders featuring a GS style race and freestyle event designed for all skill levels.
