What We Are
Mad River Mountain is a premier ski/snowboard resort positioned at Ohio’s highest skiing elevation. With 144 acres of skiing area, Mad River Mountain offers 23 trails challenging skiers and snowboarders of all skills. Mad River Mountain is proud to boost Ohio’s largest snowmaking system with over 130 snow guns. Not to mention the very popular Avalanche Tubing Park with ten 900 foot long chutes allowing the sledding enthusiast an experience they will never forget. In addition, the resort hosts a state of the art equipment rental facility which includes boot dryers, automatic doors, and easy access to beginner terrain. Mad River Mountain’s season runs December through March, weather permitting.
Where We Are
Mad River Mountain Ski Resort is located on Route 33, a four lane highway, between Marysville and Bellefontaine, Ohio. Mad River is comfortably located within one hour from Columbus, Dayton, Springfield and Lima.

Mad River Mountain has 23 trails ranging in skill level and difficulty. Mad River features a variety of trails for all levels of skiers or riders including 2 tree glades.

Snow Capacity
Mad River Mountain’s average annual snowfall measures 36 inches. Snow making equipment owned by the resort permits 100% coverage of all ski and snowboarding areas when man-made snow is needed for optimum skiing/snowboarding.
Mad River has the largest snowmaking system in Ohio with over 130 guns.
